Supervision is not a private correspondence. When a licence is no longer in good standing, the register and the seal say so.
Information
The Authority may require the holder to explain a domain, a change of control, a complaint, the treatment of customer funds, or a failure to file a report. The holder answers within the time given. Silence is itself a fact the Authority can act on.
Directions
The Authority may direct a holder to stop a promotion, to remove a domain, to honour a self-exclusion, or to commission an independent review. A direction does not by itself change the public status. Suspension and revocation do.
Suspension, expiry, revocation
Suspension means the permission is paused. The seal switches to the suspended series, and the certificate page says the licence is suspended. Expiry means the term ended and was not renewed. Revocation means the permission has been withdrawn. An application that is still being assessed is not a licence: its status is “application received”, and it is not listed on the public register of active licences.
Only an administrator of the Authority can move a filing to active. Holders and merchants cannot publish their own status.
Complaints about a named licence can be sent to Compliance & enforcement. Include the licence number from the certificate page.
